There are some organisations with limited resources and a shortfall of holistic expertise. Therefore, there is a need for a forum and a facilitator entity to liaise within and beyond the professional and academic institutions, to identify programme and content gaps, and how to best fill them - while also encouraging the sharing of lessons learnt across the built environment sector and academia.  

The Futurebuild’s May 2023 Opinion Piece shines a light on the Climate Framework’s latest report on “Climate education: the state of the industry + a new way forward”. Offering insights on how the Climate Framework can be utilised as a common curriculum structure for content creation, this report provides guidance, as well as  a roadmap for training programme delivery that can be immediately implemented across the global built environment sector, in order to build greater capacity and advance the built environment professionals’ competence around climate change.
